AUTUMN 2010 ART CLASSES

The La Salamandre Art Center invites you to please yourself in one of its stimulating, inspiring, energizing, and creative courses taught by professional and experienced art teachers in welcoming and friendly art studios encouraging personal development and creativity.
You will be spoilt by the choice... To the courses already offered, such as drawing, painting, sculpture, mold, mixed mediums, scrapbooking, or photography, are added less traditional but as enlightening courses as felt, painting on ceramic tiles, textures and faux-finis, and clothes customization. Also, the La Salamandre Art Centers now offers you its courses at different addresses in Montreal. Perhaps near yours...

You may attend the classical and essential courses of drawing or those of acrylic painting at several locations: on Bellechasse Street, on Parthenais street, and on Notre-Dame West Street (in English).
You can also enjoy an excellent watercolor course proposed to you on Parthenais Street.
New and unique in Montreal, the Art Center offers you the opportunity to follow, on De Gaspé Street, a painting course specialized in textures and faux finis with a master of this art. Furniture, objects, and floors will be transformed...
Always in the field of painting, a fascinating painting on ceramic tiles course is offered on Papineau Street. It is a unique opportunity to create your own tiles to decorate a wall, a floor, or a tray.
To learn mixed mediums, you have the choice between courses focusing on textures, on materials, on relief or collage... you can also choose to discover or to improve your skills in the work of industrial felt by creating accessories or arts and crafts. Two addresses in Montreal to join us, one on Parthenais Street, and the other on Pine Avenue West (in English).
On Parthenais Street also, a magnificent sculptor studio welcomes you for a sculpture course dedicated to the work of clay and for a molds course. Sculpture courses are oriented to the study of the human figure, and those about molds on the study of techniques and materials.
The La Salamandre Art Center opens new disciplines and proposes this year a course on clothes customization, on De Bordeaux Street, in which you will offer an inspired second life to clothing.

A magnificent course of drawing and mixed techniques based on reading and writing a tale that will make them travel in a world of color and history... and will teach them the basics of drawing and other artistic disciplines. The course takes place on de Bordeaux Street and is aimed at children from 6 to 10 years.
A creative sculpture course centered on modeling expects them on Parthenais Street (6 to 12 years). They will learn the techniques related to the work of clay and get passionate for the realization of works in three dimensions.
Also on Parthenais Street, they will have the pleasure to discover industrial felt and mixed techniques associated to drawing and painting in a mixed mediums and felt course designed for children from 8 to 12 years (in English).
Finally, unique and unusual, the Art Center proposes a course in photography for children from 8 to 12 years in which they will explore its thousand and one possibilities ranging from taking a picture to photo-collage in a photographer's studio on De Bordeaux Street.
Teens are not forgotten in that adventure.... Exciting courses will carry them around the city....
