Don't miss the Spring Break activities ...

Register now (and preferably before mid-February) in the spring break artistic activities that will take place between February 28th and March 4th.

Two very nice proposals are made, drawing and mixed techniques, or wet felt process.

ARTISTIC CREATION CAMP - 5 half days - Mornings for the children and afternoon for the youths ...

The La Salamandre Art Center offers a course focusing on drawing, painting and mixed techniques, which has the purpose of developing the imagination of children and teenagers through the works of masters such as Dali, Picasso, Van Gogh, Matisse, Klimt, Mondrian, Di Rosa...

A brief historical background will present the main artistic lines to which they belong: surrealism, cubism, expressionism, impressionism, abstraction, figuration ...

Notions of composition, perspective, colors and materials, of light and chiaroscuro, will be addressed during this week.

This course will take place from Monday, February 28th to Friday, March 4th, 2011, during the mornings from 10 am to 12 pm. for children from 6 to10 years old, and in the afternoons from 4 pm to 6 pm for 10 to 16 years old.

2 DAYS WET FELT CAMP - for the 10 to 13 years old (in English)

In this two-day workshop, students will design and create their own hand-puppet, from wool felt fabric they create themselves. On Day One, students will create a piece of felt from which they can make their puppet. On Day Two, students will sew the puppet together, and decorate with sewing on beads, decorative stitching, and other pieces of hand-made felt. Felt-making and hand-sewing will be taught in this course.

This workshop will take place on Monday February 28th and Tuesday March 1st from 9 am to 11:30 am.
